In addition to your tuition fees, you should take into account the following expenses: accommodation, travel, food, course materials, phone, leisure, and where necessary, healthcare and insurance.
It is important that you consider these costs when calculating your overall expenses: however, many of these costs will depend on lifestyle choices for individual students and can be achieved on a budget. All new students will receive a Student Guide with useful information regarding this and more. There are many budget planners available online, and the website Save the Student is a good place to start now.

Employment
Employment Permissions for Students on a UK Student Visa
Students enrolled at Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, London Campus who hold a UK Student Visa are not permitted to undertake any form of employment while studying in the United Kingdom. This restriction is a condition of the visa issued by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). This includes paid or unpaid work, internships which are not part of their programme, and freelance activities.
We encourage all students to familiarise themselves with their visa conditions to ensure they remain compliant throughout their studies. Staying within these rules is important for protecting your immigration status and avoiding any issues with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), such as withdrawal of the visa and impact on future immigration applications.
If you are unsure about what is or isn’t allowed, or if you would like further guidance, please contact our Quality and Visa Compliance Officer.
We are here to support you and help ensure you remain fully compliant with your visa conditions. For further information, visit our Student Visa page.
Bank accounts and bank loans
We recommend that you set up a bank account to before you start your course, as this will help you to manage your finances whilst studying. For our international students a UK bank account will help to avoid any foreign currency charges.
If you are considering taking out a bank loan to cover the cost of your fees or living expenses while studying, it is important that you are aware that bank loans are only given to residents of the bank’s country.
