Dauphine London MUN Society Shines at URJC MUN in Madrid

Following their impressive participation at the UCL Model United Nations (UCLMUN) in October, the Dauphine London MUN Society continued to make waves on the international stage at URJC MUN 2025 in Madrid. Hosted by Rey Juan Carlos University from 4th to 7th February, URJC MUN is the largest Model United Nations conference in both Spain and Europe, attracting over 1,200 participants.
Representing Université Paris Dauphine - PSL London campus, a delegation of 15 dedicated students took on the challenge of debating some of the world’s most pressing issues. The team was spread across four committees—ECOSOC, UNICEF, IOM, and UNECA—where they engaged in high-level discussions on human rights, international migration, children’s welfare, and economic development. Through rigorous debates, strategic negotiations, and policy drafting, the delegation didn’t just participate; they made a lasting impact.
Beyond the conference, the trip provided an opportunity to explore the cultural heart of Madrid. From strolling through the historic Plaza Mayor and marvelling at the grandeur of the Royal Palace to enjoying Spanish tapas and visiting the iconic Prado Museum, the experience was as enriching outside the committee rooms as it was within them. A peaceful walk through Retiro Park added a perfect moment of reflection after intense days of debate.
More than a competition, URJC MUN was an experience that strengthened friendships, honed diplomatic skills, and reinforced the team’s passion for global affairs. This success builds on their achievements at UCLMUN in October and sets the stage for even greater accomplishments in future conferences.
The Dauphine London MUN Society continues to prove itself as a dynamic and formidable force in international diplomacy. With each conference, they gain invaluable experience and inspire the next generation of global leaders. We can’t wait to see where they go next!
