The Bachelor’s in Artificial Intelligence, Economics and Management (AIEM) is a unique three-year degree that combines rigorous training in Economics, Management, Mathematics, and Computer Science with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
Designed for students eager to engage with the digital transformation of organisations and societies, the AIEM programme offers an interdisciplinary education that bridges theory, practice, and ethical reflection.
Curriculum Overview
The curriculum integrates the study of AI and data-driven methods with the fundamentals of Economics and Management, ensuring that graduates not only master technical tools but also understand their applications, impacts, and limitations. From Programming and Machine Learning to Law, Ethics, and Organisational theory, students are equipped with both the analytical skills and critical perspective needed to become leaders in the digital revolution.
Specially designed for students with an international outlook, our degree in London is taught entirely in English and includes the study of at least one foreign language.. The AIEM curriculum also offers distinct professional guidance and coaching to guide you through your studies and beyond. We provide a tailored educational experience thanks to our unique partnership with University College London (UCL). This means that you get the best of both worlds: you study in small groups on our boutique campus while also having the opportunity to experience the grand surroundings of one of the biggest and most prestigious universities in the UK.
Year 1 & 2
In Year 1 & Year 2, students acquire strong foundations in:
- Economics (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, data-driven economic analysis)
- Management (financial and management accounting, history of management)
- Computer Science (Algorithmics, Databases, Programming)
- Mathematics (Analysis, Algebra, Statistics, Optimisation).
At the same time, they are introduced to Artificial Intelligence through core courses in Machine Learning and Programming with data. Courses in Law, Ethics, Communication, and Global Political Issues provide essential context on the societal and regulatory dimensions of AI and digital transformation.
Year 3
In Year 3, our programme offers great flexibility and the opportunity to specialise, along with the added benefit of a potential semester abroad. All third-year students continue their training in Artificial Intelligence, with courses on Machine learning, Deep Learning, and Data analysis. In parallel, they will deepen their profile either in Economics or in Management.
Students can complete their degree in London, or spend a semester at our parent university in Paris, or choose from one of our 315 partner universities worldwide
Language proficiency
We place a strong emphasis on language proficiency, and all our students must study at least one foreign language during their time with us. Language and professional communication training (English and Communication modules + a mandatory foreign language) is reinforced through optional study skills workshops provided to the students. Extra support is available with regular office hours offered by the English and Communication lecturers.
Foreign language classes are held at UCL:
- At UCL’s Centre of Languages & International Education (CLIE), 9 languages are offered at 7 proficiency levels, and teaching includes on-campus classes at UCL, language labs, and online self-evaluation exercises.
Students spend 17 to 22 hours per week in class, almost twice the number of contact hours offered at most UK universities. This allows our students to spend more time benefiting from the experience of our lecturers. The academic year is divided into two semesters, each comprising 12 weeks of classes, one reading week and one exam week. Classes are typically 90 minutes long; students are assessed through continuous assessments and final exams.
Please note that if you are not a UK resident and do not hold a settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme, you will need a student visa to be able to study in the UK with us for more than 6 months. For the latest information about it, please consult our student visas page.
