From its major international role to the use of technology to tackle the pandemic, China seems to master its maneuver through the crisis. Although the virus certainly has changed the geopolitical and business landscape of the country.

Thanks to our two speakers and their outside and insider perspectives, this webinar will help us understand how the COVID-19 outbreak changed China.

Our speakers:

  • Dr. Hannah Theaker is currently a Visiting Fellow of the University of Oxford China Centre. She works on histories of migration, religion and ethnicity in modern Chinese history, with a particular interest in China's northwest.
  • Fabien Martin has been working in Chengdu, China, in the technology sector for the past five years. He has worked on developing and deploying Web, Computer Vision & Natural Language Processing applications both in China and abroad.
