In addition to your tuition fees, you should take into account the following expenses: accommodation, travel, food, course materials, phone, leisure, and where necessary, healthcare and insurance.
It is important that you consider these costs when calculating your overall expenses: however, many of these costs will depend on lifestyle choices for individual students and can be achieved on a budget. All new students will receive a Student Guide with useful information regarding this and more. There are many budget planners available online, and the website Save the Student is a good place to start now.

Government funding for study
We recommend contacting the Education Ministry in your home country for information about government funding for study.
Employment
If you decide to work to support yourself during your studies, it is important that you look for a job that does not intervene with your study schedule, and for student visa holders that your are within your visa permissions
Working will support part of the costs of living; however, you will need to combine this with another type of funding as it will not be enough to cover tuition fees or all living expenses.
Bank accounts and bank loans
We recommend that you set up a bank account to before you start your course, as this will help you to manage your finances whilst studying. For our international students a UK bank account will help to avoid any foreign currency charges.
If you are considering taking out a bank loan to cover the cost of your fees or living expenses while studying, it is important that you are aware that bank loans are only given to residents of the bank’s country.
