Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the London campus
On 12 September 2024, at the Résidence de France in London, under the high patronage of Her Excellency the French Ambassador, Hélène Duchêne, Université Paris Dauphine - PSL and the Dauphine Foundation celebrated the tenth anniversary of the London campus.
The event was attended by Professor E.M. Mouhoud, President of Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, Vincent Montagne, President of the Dauphine Foundation, and Christophe Chenut, President of Dauphine Alumni. This anniversary is an opportunity to highlight the significant achievements of the past decade and to shed light on the development strategy of the London campus.
"The best of both worlds": Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, London campus marks its success
Inaugurated in 2014, the London campus of Université Paris Dauphine - PSL benefits from its strategic location in the heart of the English capital and its alliance with University College London (UCL), a world-leading university nearby, providing Dauphine students with access to one of the largest British universities.
In 2022, the London campus was accredited by the Office for Students (OfS) as a Higher Education Provider, enhancing its visibility among English-speaking and international audiences. That same year, the UK government granted PSL University (Paris Sciences et Lettres), of which Dauphine is a constituent institution, the right to apply the work visa system, a privilege currently extended to only one other French institution and a select group of prestigious universities worldwide, such as Harvard and Yale.
A campus highly praised by Bachelor's students, with an ever-increasing number of applicants
With nearly 200 students trained each year, the London campus offers a Bachelor's in Economics and Management, a three-year multidisciplinary program that leads to the awarding of the Licence in Organizational Sciences from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, with a specialization in Management in the third year. Students benefit from instruction delivered entirely in English, the academic excellence of the Parisian university, and the experience of living in London, an international financial and economic hub.
In 2024, the London campus saw nearly 2,000 applications for the first year of the Bachelor's program, competing for 80 spots. This reflects the campus's strong appeal, with a 23% increase in applications since the program was listed on Parcoursup in 2020, and a 15% increase this year compared to 2023.
A specialised offering of professional training programs
As a recognized institution of higher education with strong ties to both the Francophone and Anglophone business worlds, the London campus offers continuing education programs, custom conferences, and seminars on a wide range of topics:
- The London Executive MBA, which trains high-potential executives, both French and international, in the most responsible management methods and sustainable change leadership (this program has existed for 20 years in Paris). Globally recognized, the MBA ensures that graduates gain immediate recognition in the global job market. In London, the same program is delivered entirely in English and in a hybrid format: 70% online (e-learning) and 30% on the Paris and London campuses, with three intensive weeks in the heart of London, as well as a study trip to Paris.
- The Christie's Masterclass in Art Wealth Management, a short program focused on wealth management as it applies to the art market. This program is designed for professionals in wealth management or the art sector to update and deepen their knowledge of the British and international art markets.
- Customized coaching and management training sessions, particularly aimed at facilitating change management, promoting managerial innovations, and developing effective coaching practices within companies.
- The Quantitative Finance Diploma (DiFiQ), which was extended to London in April 2023. This program offers auditors, accountants, audit and consulting firms, internal audit and control services the opportunity to strengthen their expertise and master the methodologies and practices of auditing, consulting, and IT security.
The campus will also expand its offerings for professionals starting in October 2024 with:
- The Digital Auditing, Advisory, and Cybersecurity program. Delivered in a hybrid format, it enables auditors and consultants to master current information systems practices in an ever-evolving digital environment.
For younger students, Paris Dauphine University-PSL offers the following on its London campus:
- "Pre-Uni Camps" for high school students to familiarize themselves with higher education in London. This initiative, which has been met with great success, includes three-day workshops for high school students interested in economics and management.
- Two summer schools in July, focusing on international management and finance, for a three-week immersion at the British campus in London.
- A new AI summer school, inaugurated in July, building on the momentum of AI teaching and research developed in Paris.
New undergraduate programs will be introduced starting in 2025:
A new undergraduate offering is in preparation for the 2025 academic year, including a dual degree in Artificial Intelligence and Organizational Sciences, as well as a Master’s in Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies.
An Incubator in Development
The goal is to promote entrepreneurship, similar to what is offered on Université Paris Dauphine - PSL’s Paris campus. The London incubator will prioritize impact-driven projects from various sectors, at the pre-seed or seed stage. Startups in the incubator will benefit from dedicated office space, workshops, support from Dauphine mentors, and potentially honorary loans under certain conditions.
The Dauphine Foundation works to improve access for all students to the London campus
Highly committed to equal opportunities, the Foundation is launching a specific fundraising campaign among London alumni to mark the 10th anniversary of the campus under the label: "Dauphine-London Fund."
