Moderated by Dr. Maximilian Hoell, Undergraduate Programmes Director, at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, London campus, the session will cover the following topic:

Taiwan's energy security in the context of climate change and great power competition

We are honoured to host Dr. Thomas Fröhlich, research fellow at the Department of War Studies at King's College London, our expert speaker for this hot topic. 

Following initial remarks from the speaker, the floor will be open for a Q&A with the audience.

  • Who is Dr. Thomas Fröhlich?

His research analyses the geopolitics of climate action with a focus on the global energy transition. Thomas holds an MA in science, European law and Latin American studies from the University of Munich, and a PhD in international relations from King's College London. Previously, he held appointments at the European Cluster for Climate, Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS) and the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies (AICGS) at Johns Hopkins University, and has lived, worked and conducted fieldwork in Brazil, Ecuador, Germany, Guatemala, Madagascar, Mexico and the US.
